In the beginning the untamed forces ruled the earth's vast terrain, air's endless whispers, fire's unpredictable energy, and water's life giving flow.  These elements shaped the world free and wild.  But then something shifted.  We, the creators, began to see and understand these forces.  We dared to channel them, interpret them, and express their chaos and beauty through our own hand and creative nature.  What was once wild and free has been "unleashed" and given form in a world of color, texture, and emotion.

Meet The Judge

Sharron Ragan

Sharron Ragan is the Owner of Heart Soul and Art and a seasoned artist. She studied fine art in college, focusing on watercolor and sculpture. Sharron continued a creative career in advertising and marketing for over two decades. As a former President of the Atlanta Artists Center she has judged numerous art shows in the Atlanta area and also teaches intuitive painting classes and retreats.

EXHIBIT GUIDELINES:

  • Size limit is no larger than 36” on any side and a weight limit of 25 pounds  
  • Gallery wrap canvases must be over 1” thick  
  • All artwork must be properly wired to hang- NO SAW TOOTH HANGERS  
  • Mediums – oils, acrylics, watercolor, photography, pastels, collage, mixed media, digital art, mono prints, pin & ink, and etchings  
  • Fee must be paid at time of Digital Submission  
  • Work must be original. (Fine art Giclée’s and Print editions are NOT ELIGIBLE.)
  • All artwork MUST BE FOR SALE. In the event of the sale of your work, the Artist retains 70%. We will NOT accept any artwork that is not for sale.  Retail Price must be final and CLEARLY noted on the submission form.  No other price will be considered if not on the submisssion form.
  • Heart Soul & Art has the authority to define what constitutes as an acceptable entry
  • Any substandard presentation may be disqualified upon receipt  

What is Eligible?

ELIGIBLE:  

  • All artwork must be for sale 
  • Original artwork 
  • Artwork 36" or smaller on any side 
  • Framed digital art and/or photography prints on various paper including wrapped canvas that is at least 1” thick
  • Gallery wrap canvases over 1” thick   
  • Framed canvases under 1” thick  
  • 3D art that CAN be hung on the wall

NOT ELIGIBLE:  

  • No fine art Giclée’s and print editions  
  • No WET oil paintings will be accepted
  • No artwork larger than 36" on any side 
  • No unframed canvases under 1” thick  
  • No unframed prints
  • No sculptures, pottery, or crafts items  
  • No sawtooth hangers 
  • No 3D art that can NOT be hung on the wall  

ACCEPTED WORK:  

  • 45-50 works will be selected and hung  
  • List of accepted works will be emailed to submitting artists on April 1, 2025
  • Please do not call the shop to see if your work has been accepted.

  • Due to the number of submissions, we can only accept a certain amount of artwork. Submission does NOT guarantee acceptance.

DROP OFF REQUIRMENTS: 

  • All artwork must have a label on the back side of the framed works to include the following:
  • Artist's Name; Phone; Email; Title of Work; Year of Creation; Medium; and Price  
  • All artwork must be properly WIRED TO HANG. No sawtooth hangers will be accepted.  
  • ANY WORKS THAT DO NOT MEET REQUIREMENTS must be taken back at time of DROP-OFF.

LIABILITY:

  • Submission fees are nonrefundable.
  • Heart Soul & Art LLC has the right to coach artists on pricing or professional appearance that is not consistent with the art industry and market.
  • All works submitted are the artist’s own responsibility; and not insured or covered by Heart Soul & Art LLC. 
  • All accepted artworks will be handled with professional care; however, neither staff nor owner can be responsible for any loss or damage. 
  • Please note that the gallery area will be used at other times for small classes and special events.
  • Heart Soul & Art LLC is NOT responsible for works not picked up at the designated time after the show. 
  • Any artworks not picked up within 14-days of notification may become the property of Heart Soul & Art LLC.
  • Artist agrees that by entering this competition that the works chosen for the show may be used in Heart Soul & Art LLC, social media, publicity and all marketing.

$45 total for 1-3 PIECES
